Washingtonville Wizards Football

The Washingtonville Wizard Football Program is proud to announce that Taylor Pelio and Nicholas Solek are the recipients of the 2015 Washingtonville Football Scott Pioli Award, which is given on a yearly basis to two Washingtonville football players who exemplify quality leadership, good academic standing, solid work-ethic, perseverance, and a spirit of giving back to the community.

The award was established by the Wizard Coaching Staff in 2003, and is named for Washingtonville graduate, and football alumni, Scott Pioli, who has enjoyed a long career as an NFL Executive. Pioli is currently instrumental in helping many non-profit organizations throughout the United States, and believes in the need to give back to community organizations and people in need.

As a way of demonstrating the giving spirit, Mr. Pioli will donate $250.00 to a non-profit organization of the winner’s choice. Taylor has chosen the WEL Foundation of Washingtonville, which helps those in need throughout the community, and Nicholas has chosen the Washingtonville Touchdown Club, which helps supply items of need to the football programs of Washingtonville.
